USI Continuing Education offers bicycle safety course

The Department of Continuing Education at the University of Southern Indiana will offer a noncredit course called Bicycle Basics, Safety, and Touring. Participants will learn the fundamentals of selecting a bike, basic maintenance, safety, and how to plan a bicycle trip.

The course will meet at the USI Recreation, Fitness, and Wellness Center on three Mondays, June 7-21, from 6 to 8 p.m., and one Saturday, June 26, from 9 to 11 a.m. A group ride will conclude the course.

Members from the Evansville Bike Club will instruct the course.

Registration is $25 and $15 for additional individuals from the same household. USI employees may enroll for the bicycle class for $10 each additional family member may enroll for $5. This special employee rate is good until close of business on Monday, June 7.
