Brandi Schwartz Marketing Coordinator Outreach & Engagement 812/464-1854 The use of social networking allows businesses to build relationships through the people to whom they are connected. When used effectively, it can enable you to leverage the power of your own networks and those of your customers, friends, and other community contacts. Participants will learn how to use social networking sites (Facebook and LinkedIn) to build and strengthen business connections, enhance credibility, increase visibility, attract new customers, and more. "Businesses and entrepreneurs are realizing that it's worth the time and effort to have a presence on social networking venues such as LinkedIn and Facebook," said Barnett. "It doesn't mean they will have direct sales or contracts from these venues alone, but that clients and customers are increasingly using these tools as another way to make purchasing decisions. Customers may be more inclined to give a business or service provider a call after seeing that several of their friends and associates have been pleased with a certain product or service." Registration is $49 and includes materials. For more information, or to sign up for the session, contact USI Extended Services at 812/464-1989 or 800/467-8600. |
