Michael Aakhus named interim dean of Liberal Arts

I am excited to welcome him to this new position." Commenting on the appointment, Aakhus said, "After serving the University of Southern Indiana for 33 years, I am now honored to have the opportunity to serve as interim dean of the College of Liberal Arts. I want to thank the students, faculty, staff, and administration for their past support and look forward to working with them on our future endeavors. Above all I value teaching, scholarship, creative work, and service and will work to enhance opportunities in all these areas. I look forward to the year ahead as interim dean doing the work of the College with our outstanding team." Aakhus holds an MFA in printmaking from Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville and a B.A. in art and art history from Bemidji State University. |
