Plein air painting workshop in New Harmony

Erika Myers-Bromwell Director of New Harmony Gallery of Comtemporary Art 812/682-3156 Through demonstrations and one-on-one instruction, students will learn technical skills as they relate to the creation of painting outdoors. These will include preparing a surface for painting, color theory, observation of and response to the natural world, subject selection, and compositional strategies. Students will work from observation on sites in the surrounding New Harmony landscape. Each session will begin at the Sarah Campbell Blaffer studio, located on North Street just west of the Roofless Church in New Harmony, Indiana.
