USI's Hancock wins city tournament

Jason Jonesmissed an 11-foot putt on the 18th hole that could have sent the tournament into a playoff, while Hancock converted his second putt on the final hole for the victory. Jones finished his four-rounds with a five-round 279. The public relations and advertising major ranked second on the USI squad last year with a 75.8 strokes per round average (spra). Hancock posted a three-year best as a junior in 2008-09 when he averaged 75.6 spra and had a career-best 69 in the final round of the University of Tennessee-Martin Skyhawk Classic. Hancock is a native of Ft. Branch, Indiana. |
