Wendy Knipe Bredhold Media Relations Specialist, News & Information Services 812/461-5259 "CareerLINK provides an excellent opportunity for students and alumni to network with numerous employers in one venue," said Philip Parker, director of Career Services and Placement. "It allows the recruiters and students to meet, adding the human interaction that often lacks in the online application process." This year's CareerLINK will feature about 70 employers from the business, industry, government, and non-profit sectors, as well as USI's Graduate Studies and other graduate programs. "While the employment picture is gradually improving for graduates, as evidenced by a 25 percent increase in the number of organizations registered for the Fall 2010 CareerLINK, it is vital for students to use this opportunity and all the job search resources available to them," Parker said. For a complete list of employers who will be in attendance, go to www.usi.edu/careersv/forms/list_careerlink.aspx. Students and alumni looking for full-time professional careers, internships, co-ops, and part-time positions should attend the fair. CareerLINK is for students and alumni in business, science, engineering and liberal arts. A Health Professions Career Expo will be held Monday, October 18, and a Teacher Recruitment Fair will be held on Tuesday, April 12.
