Scoring was based on property cleanliness and maintenance, landscaping, and sustainability measures. "We are immensely gratified to have received this recognition of our ongoing efforts to sustainably develop an environmentally responsible, architecturally notable, and technologically advanced teaching and learning community," said Mark Rozewski, vice president for Finance and Administration. "Our newest buildings and campus landscape improvements save energy, support academic excellence, and speak volumes about our advancing our long standing commitment to effective, efficient operation." Don Fleming, grounds and athletic field supervisor, accepted the award on the University's behalf at the Keep Evansville Beautiful Awards ceremony on October 13. "This award could not have happened without the commitment of our Physical Plant, and in particular Don Fleming, head of our first-rate grounds crew," Rozewski said. "Don and his team deserve our deepest thanks." |
