This year's Senior Seminar Exhibition features the work of 40 senior art majors with emphases in studio art, graphic design, interactive media, and illustration. The exhibiting seniors are: Kyle Acker, David Brandt, Katie Jo Clagg, Shannon Coleman, Kayli Daymon, Keri Duckworth, Robin Epley, DeWayne Esson, Logan Everly, Micah Georges, Khristian Seaton, Diana Knopinski, Veronica Koester, Mary Ann Kopp, Kyle Kress, Adrienne Larty, Wade Mayer, Sam Milburn, Rachel Milligan, Brittany Moore, Katelyn Naum, Stacy Nurrenbern, Hyeryun Park, Thomas Parkinson, Nathan Pietrykowski, Laura Rudolph, Audra Sanders, Brittney Schipp, Miles Seltzer, Leanne Serra, Nick Simon, Kelsey Spurlock, Melissa Sybert, Erin Thornburg, Mary Travis, Heather Vaught, Aaron Walker, Kara Whitmore, Anthony Wilson, and Whitney Wilson. The second exhibition highlights self-portraits by Stephen Pace, the internationally-known Abstract Expressionist artist and figurative painter who died September 23 at the age of 91. His career spanned seven decades and his paintings, prints, and drawings were exhibited in prestigious art institutions such as the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden, the Whitney Museum of American Art, and the Corcoran Gallery of Art. Pace and his wife Palmina have been special friends of the University of Southern Indiana and to the art center. They were key figures in the funding and completion of the art center and its four galleries are dedicated to them. Stephen Pace also generously donated 225 of his artworks to the University's collection. The paintings, drawings, sketchbooks and photographs displayed provide an intimate look at how Pace not only saw himself as an artist, but also as the subject of his work, as son and brother, and as a partner in life with his wife. A larger retrospective of his artwork will be held in the McCutchan Art Center in the summer of 2011. The art center is located in the lower level of the Liberal Art Center on the west side of the USI campus. Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday.
