Student communication organization received National Chapter of the Year Award

The portfolio was based on five criteria: 1. Overall look of the portfolio 2. Visibility of the chapter on campus 3. Contribution to the communication discipline 4. Professional development of its members 5. Service to the campus and surrounding community The Communication Studies Connection is designed for students who are looking to gain practical experience and develop professional communication skills. Students plan and execute various service, professional development, social, and fundraising events that take place both within the university and throughout Evansville. There are currently 21 members in the USI Communication Studies Connection. While most of the members are communication studies students, anyone is welcome to join. Dues are $10 per semester or $15 per year with the money going toward food, professional development, social events, and membership fees affiliated with the NCA Student Clubs.
