The lecture by Auschwitz survivor Philip L. Gans planned for Wednesday, January 12, has been rescheduled for 6:30 p.m. Friday, January 14, in Mitchell Auditorium in the Health Professions Center. The lecture, sponsored by the Office of Student Development Programs, has been postponed due to inclement weather conditions.

Gans was born in Amsterdam, Holland in 1928. He was captured by the Nazis on July 24, 1943 after a year in hiding. After a month at Westerbork detention camp in Holland, he was sent to Auschwitz from August 1943 until January 1945 and Flossenberg until April 1945.

He was saved from a death march by the liberating American army on April 23, 1945. He was 17 years old.

Doors open at 6 p.m. For more information, contact Student Development Programs at 812/465-7167.
