Watch: National championship baseball team honored in Indianapolis

Team members and USI staff also met with Governor Mitch Daniels. The resolution in their honor acknowledged that the Screaming Eagles are the first team from the Midwest Region and the first in the state of Indiana to win a national championship in baseball. Also mentioned are Brad Vance, NCAA II Regional Most Valuable Player, Taylor Dennis, Most Outstanding Player in the NCAA II National Championship series, and Head Coach Tracy Archuleta, American Baseball Coaches Association Division II Coach of the Year and American Baseball Coaches Association and National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association Midwest Region Coach of the Year.
