Rug hooking workshop offered in New Harmony

Erika Myers-Bromwell Director of New Harmony Gallery of Comtemporary Art 812/682-3156 Come learn this interesting and fun craft that is growing in interest in the Tri-state. The instructor will discuss the history of rug hooking, its origin in the Maritime Provinces, and other aspects of the craft. Each participant will receive his or her own kit of supplies to keep. The kit consists of materials and tools to complete a sample mat, which will include a proper rug hook, wool fabric for strips, hoop or frame, and other materials.
