USI selects nine new student ambassadors

Nine University of Southern Indiana students have been named student ambassadors in the USI Admission Office. Sydney Barcelli, Caylin Blockley, Jessie Davis, Karesse Faull, Rileigh Lear, Tiffany Neuhoff, Robyn Scott, Joey Tadros, and Melanie Zeilinga join more than 80 students who serve USI as ambassadors.

"Ambassadors serve as university representatives, recruiters, hosts, tour guides, and leaders," said Amy Smith, admission counselor and sponsor of the ambassadors. "This group of students features the very best of what USI has to offer."

Barcelli is a freshman at USI who is majoring in elementary education. She is a member of Education LLC and a USI cheerleader. Barcelli is the daughter of David and Karen Barcelli of Vincennes, Indiana and a graduate of Wheeler High School.

Blockley is a sophomore at USI who is majoring in political science. He is an AMIGO, a member of the Kappa Alpha Order Fraternity, the National Society of Collegiate Scholars, and holds a non-resident scholarship. He is a member of the USI Honors Program. Blockley is the son of Brad and Jenny Blockley and a graduate of Triad High School in Troy, Illinois.

Davis is a freshman at USI who is majoring in political science. She is a member of the Delta Zeta sorority, is involved in intramural sports, and holds a departmental scholarship. She is the daughter of Tony and Beth Davis of Vincennes, Indiana and a graduate of Washington Catholic High School.

Faull is a freshman at USI who is majoring in social work. She is a member of the Honors Program. Faull is the daughter of Karmal and Lindon Faull and was home schooled.

Lear is a sophomore at USI who is majoring in graphic design. She is a member of the USI Art Club and holds the non-resident top scholar scholarship and the deans scholarship. She is on the honors list. Lear is the daughter of David and Vicki Lear and a graduate of Edwards County High School in Albion, Illinois.

Neuhoff is a sophomore at USI who is majoring in elementary education. She is a group exercise instructor, Resident Assistant, and a member of the Residence Hall Community Council. Neuhoff is active in the Christ Renews His Parish retreat, Housing and Residence Life Awards and Recognition Committee, Relay for Life, Special Olympics, and USI intramural sports. She holds the William and Rebecca N. Couch Endowment Scholarship and Master Brand Cabinets, Inc. Scholarship. She is on the honors list. Neuhoff is the daughter of Brenda and Harold Neuhoff and a graduate of Southridge High School in Huntingburg, Indiana.

Scott is a sophomore at USI who is majoring in public relations and advertising. She is a member of the USI Sport Management Club, a Posey County YoungLife Leader, the marketing and advertising committee chair for the 2011 Jeron Lewis 3 on 3 basketball tournament, and she holds a deans scholarship. She is the daughter of Dave and Amy Scott of Bargersville, Indiana and a graduate of Center Grove High School.

Tadros is a freshman at USI who is majoring in biology pre-med. He is an AMIGO, a member of the Social and Community Service Honors Committees, the Pre Professional Health Club, Kappa Sigma Fraternity, and a Leadership Evansville Retreat participant. He holds the William H. and Dallas Bower Suhrheinrich Presidential Scholarship, and is a member of the USI Honors Program. Tadros is the son of Mary and Safwat Tadros and a graduate of F. J. Reitz High School in Evansville.

Zeilinga is a sophomore at USI who is majoring in pre-radiologic technology and health administration. She is a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars. Zeilinga is the daughter of John and Jamie Zeilinga and a graduate of Franklin Community High School in Franklin, Indiana.
