Boil advisory: campus water supply included in Evansville precaution
|
Students in housing should contact resident assistants (RA) for drinking water. According to the Evansville Courier & Press, "water from the Ohio River may have overflowed into a drinking water tank at the water filtration plant. The risk of contaminated drinking water is 'very low,' according to the release (from the Evansville Water & Sewer Utility), but all customers should boil cooking and drinking water for five minutes before use until further notice. The utility's interim executive director Jim Garrard said testing is underway but would not be completed until at least Tuesday afternoon." |
