Jessie Bowen Student Worker News & Information Services 812/465-1192 The candidate pageant will begin at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, March 23 in Carter Hall in the University Center. A poll opening kick off, Rock the Vote, will feature live bands, karaoke, and food. Rock the Vote will take place from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, March 28 in UC East. SGA election polls will open at 8 p.m. Monday, March 28 and close on Friday, April 1. Students will be able to place their votes through an email sent to their MyUSI account or in person at one of the polling stations located around campus. "It is important for students to participate in SGA elections because SGA's sole purpose is to represent the voices of the students to the administration," said James Fidler, SGA's university court clerk. This year's SGA candidates are: Executive Board President Mandy Plassmeyer Jordan Whitledge Attorney General Ethan Roark Administrative Vice President of Business and Finance Amanda Landon Administrative Vice President of External Relations Blake Frazier Member-at-Large housing Students Samantha Ray Representative for the College of Science and Engineering Blake Schneider Zack Mathis Phillip Behrens Sam Barnett Nick Mathis Representative for the College of Business Andrew Magazine Chelsea Schmidt Stephanie Deig Nathan Parsons In April, vacancy applications will be accepted for open positions in SGA and will be approved by the newly sworn in General Assembly.
