For the 10th year, Evansville's Outback Steakhouse will open its doors for a special event Tuesday, April 12, to benefit the USI Varsity Club's effort to fully fund athletic scholarships. Usually closed at mid-day, the restaurant will provide lunch and donate all proceeds.

Tickets are available for both seatings (11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.) and may be purchased for $20 each from Varsity Club board members or from the Varsity Club office. The deadline to purchase tickets is April 5.

This year, Outback is providing a full lunch to each ticket holder that includes a 6 oz. sirloin steak, 5 oz. chicken breast, mashed potatoes, salad, bread, drink, and cheesecake. USI coaches, administrators, and Varsity Club members will be waiting tables to show appreciation to all Screaming Eagles fans.

Last year, the Varsity Club raised nearly $7,000 from ticket sales, tips, and the auction of desserts. The Varsity Club has raised nearly $75,000 with the luncheon since it began in 2002.
