Ntumba named honorable mention All-American

The All-America award is the first for Ntumba, who is the 18th USI men's basketball player to earn the national honor. Ntumba, who was named first team All-District by the American Basketball Coaches Association and second team All-Midwest Region by Daktronics, ranked second on the Screaming Eagles with 14.0 points per game and grabbed a team-high 8.3 rebounds per contest. He scored a career-high 25 points in USI's semifinal victory over Drury University in the GLVC Tournament and grabbed a career-best 14 rebounds against Rockhurst University and the University of Indianapolis last season. The first team All-GLVC performer recorded 11 double-doubles and was named GLVC Player of the Week twice last season. He also ranks first in the GLVC in offensive rebounds and second in blocked shots.
