USI's Service Learning Program plans community service breakfast and trails work party for April 7

Brandi Schwartz Marketing Coordinator Outreach & Engagement 812/464-1854 Students are invited to a free breakfast from 8 to 8:50 a.m. in University Center Room 206. Guest speakers JoBeth Bootz, program manager at Youth Resources of Southwestern Indiana, Phil Parker, director of USI's Career Service and Placement, and Eric Williams, Vanderburgh County sheriff, will discuss the importance of community involvement and the career benefits associated with community service. A trails work party will be held later that the day from 3 to 5 p.m. at Howell Wetlands in Howell Park located off of Broadway and Tekoppel Avenue on the west side of Evansville. Participants will pick up litter and mulch trails in celebration of Earth Day. All are welcome to attend.
