Social work alumna Kelli Reidford visiting classes

Kelli Reidford, diagnostic assessment writer for Psychiatric Solutions, Inc. in Washington, D.C. is the alumna-in-residence for the Department of Social Work. She will be on campus for a presentation at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 12 in Education Center, Rm. 2108. Her presentation is called "From Program to Professional Practice: The Social Work Degree in the Real World."

Reidford will focus on career paths beyond traditional therapy and case management and discuss licensure and the value of opportunities such as independent study and study abroad.

She also will visit social work classes during her two-day visit. A reception will be held after the presentation in the Social Work lobby in the Education Center. Reidford received her undergraduate degree in social work in 2000 and earned the M.S.W. in 2005.
