Bruno Pellegrino, an exchange student from Switzerland and recent recipient of the prestigious Young Writer's Award in Francophone Literature will read his work in French and English from 5 to 6 p.m. Thursday, April 14, in the David L. Rice Library's second floor reading room. The event is sponsored by the Department of Modern and Classical Languages.

"Bruno interrupted his studies at USI for a week to accept the award in Paris, France," said Dr. Silvia Rode, chair of Modern and Classical Languages. "The jury, which is composed of well-known French writers, had to choose from over 600 literary entries. Bruno's short story L'Idiot du Village is described as 'a masterpiece of the imagination.'"
