Choate named GLVC Player of the Week
Tyler Choate
Choate hit four home runs while going five-for-seven in the two contests. He recorded seven runs scored and 10 RBIs in addition to walking four times and stealing a base. In Southern Indiana's 11-10 win over Lewis on Sunday, Choate was two-for-two with two home runs, four runs scored, three RBIs and three walks. He paced the Eagles in the second game by connecting on a first-inning grand slam and finished the contest three-for-five with three runs, seven RBIs, two home runs, a walk and stolen base. USI took the nightcap, 20-4. Choate, who is pursuing a master's degree in public administration, entered Monday's games at Lewis with a .330 batting average, 32 RBIs, 28 runs scored, 10 doubles and five home runs. |
