Sixteen University of Southern Indiana alumnae, current faculty/staff, and retired faculty/staff were among the women recognized.
Nearly 200 nominations were received after the YWCA invited the community to nominate women whose contributions to the community have made a lasting impact in their fields. A committee of men and women from various community organizations selected the final list of 100 women which includes educators, social reformers, philanthropists, business leaders and passionate volunteers.
"The accomplishments of these 100 women are outstanding. Their hard work, passion, and generosity have created and supported institutions, reforms and social services that have molded Evansville into the great city that it is today," said Erika Taylor, CEO of the YWCA.
