Computer Center, ITS merge into Dept. of Information Technology

Both groups will be working on all the computing technology across campus at the same time. The two departments are teaming up to also improve the capabilities of USIs distance learning courses. "We're looking at how we can provide better technology for distance education courses," Toeniskoetter said. "How can we provide support wherever, whenever?" Toeniskoetter has several plans for the upcoming academic year. The Department of Information Technology recently launched a new version of Blackboard, and they are working on providing a unified help desk across campus. "We'd like to eventually provide support for any technology or computer issues a student, faculty, or staff member may have," Toeniskoetter said.
