Hwy. 62W lane restrictions in effect for start of classes

With lane restrictions on the Lloyd Expressway, students, faculty, staff, and visitors who drive to the University of Southern Indiana via the Lloyd should allow ample time to reach their campus destination. Lane restrictions begin at St. Joseph Avenue and continue west past USI. The construction is slated to be completed in early November, but until then, commuters need to consider alternative routes to campus.

"We encourage people to leave plenty of extra time to get on campus, maybe plan on arriving a little early, beating the big rush of traffic," Todd Wilson, assistant vice president for Marketing and Communications, said. "Consider all routes, and avoid using the Lloyd when you can."

Drivers coming east on Hwy. 62 (Lloyd Expressway) won't encounter the delays. Students heading west may want to consider taking the University Parkway, north of campus, or Broadway Avenue to Schutte Road and entering campus by Clarke Lane.
