This year's Fall Assessment Day will be held on Tuesday, September 13, 2011. Testing will be held four times throughout the day at 9 a.m., 12 p.m., 3 p.m., and 6 p.m. Students should plan for testing to take approximately two hours. All full-time freshmen and seniors will be required to participate. Students who need to take the test will be sent a letter or an email from the Office of Planning, Research, and Assessment.

Students should arrive at the testing location 20 minutes before the exam time. Testing will take place in the Business and Engineering Center, the Liberal Arts Center, and the Education Center. Students should check their USI email and mailbox for information on the location of their testing. Late arrivals will check in at the information desk in Rice Library. Students need only bring their USI Eagle Access Card. Calculators, cell phones, and other electronic devices are prohibited.

Students who fail to participate in the Assessment Day exam will lose pre-registration privileges. If a student cannot attend during his or her scheduled exam time, special arrangements may be made by contacting the Office of Planning, Research, and Assessment at prior to 4 p.m. Friday, September 2. Exemptions and other accommodations may be made for valid reasons only. Any absences must be reported within 10 days and have proper documentation.

Assessment Day plays an invaluable role in the University's accreditation process. The results from the test help USI maintain accreditation, remain eligible for federal monetary aid, and make changes to the university curriculum.
