USI celebrating Constitution Day with reading of Constitution, Bill of Rights

Sarah Harlan Administrative Associate News & Information Services 812/465-7005 The University of Southern Indiana is celebrating Constitution Day a day early so students can take part in the activities. This year's Constitution Day reading will take place at noon in the University Center amphitheater. President Linda L.M. Bennett, members of the Student Government Association, the ROTC, and the Honors Program will take part in reading the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. "Reading the entire Constitution out loud reminds us exactly what Americans should expect of our government," Mark Krahling, director of the University Core Curriculum, said. The Constitution Day reading is sponsored by the University Core Curriculum (UCC) and is part of the UCC Speaker Series. |
