Brandi Schwartz Marketing Coordinator Outreach & Engagement 812/464-1854 Reid is the author of the novel In the Breeze of Passing Things, fiction chapbooks Girls and If You Must Know, and a new story collection So There! Her award-winning short stories have appeared in Southern Review, Other Voices, Quarterly West, Black Warrior Review, and Meridian. She is the winner of the 2011 Burnside Review Fiction Chapbook Competition and the 2010 Dana Award in short fiction. Reid is an associate professor of English at USI where she is editor of RopeWalk Press, fiction editor of Southern Indiana Review, director of the RopeWalk Reading Series, and faculty advisor of FishHook. She holds a Master of Fine Arts degree in creative writing from George Mason University. Presented by USI's College of Liberal Arts, the RopeWalk Visiting Writers Reading Series is made possible through the support of RopeWalk Writers Retreat, Southern Indiana Review, USI Society for Arts & Humanities, National Endowment for the Arts, Indiana Arts Commission, and USI Student Writers Union. The reading is free and open to the public and will be followed by a reception and book signing. Publications by Reid are available for purchase at the USI Bookstore and Barnes and Noble Booksellers.
