Show support for USI during the 90th annual Fall Festival

The 90th annual Westside Nut Club Fall Festival starts in less than a week, and everyone is encouraged to show support for the University of Southern Indiana community by visiting USI booths on Franklin Street. Be sure to stop by the following organizations' booths: Alpha Sigma Alpha, Phi Delta Theta, Lambda Chi Alpha, Delta Zeta, Tau Kappa Epsilon, Kappa Alpha, USI Varsity Club, and USI Art Club.

The 2011-2012 USI men's and women's basketball teams will be introduced to the community for the first time at 6 p.m. on Monday, October 3 at the Main Stage. The players will hand out season schedules and meet festival-goers following the introduction.

USI will have a float in the parade on Saturday, October 8. The float reflects this year's Fall Festival theme of "Engaging Community Through Involvement." The float consists of three scenes that reflect various aspects of USI's involvement in the community:

- SwISTEM Resource Center - a laboratory set-up complete with tables and bubbling experiments

- Historic New Harmony - a rotating centerpiece with the New Harmony foliage labyrinth on one side and the USI brick labyrinth on the other

- College of Nursing and Health Professions - simulated blood pressure checks
