Fifty employers to attend USI Health Professions Career Expo

Sarah Harlan Administrative Associate News & Information Services 812/465-7005 The Expo helps freshmen explore health-related career options, assists students seeking experience via an internship and/or clinical, and provides opportunities for graduating students seeking full-time employment. "The annual Health Professions Career Expo provides our nursing and health professions students, as well as any USI student or alum, a venue to network with almost 50 hospitals and healthcare employers," said Philip Parker, director of Career Services and Placement."Students don't always have the opportunity to connect in person with a representative from these organizations and the Expo gives them that opportunity. They can speak directly with recruiters, gather information, and then make informed decisions about pursuing positions with those employers. It also allows USI students and graduates to meet with hospitals and other employers from around the region and as far away as St. Louis, Louisville, and Indianapolis, without having to travel."
