Students will spend a day with a professional selected from a list of USI Alumni. This opportunity will enable students who are undecided about what career path to take to learn from someone currently in a field of interest. "Day on the Job" can help students to make better decisions about their futures. Juniors: Apply for the Career Mentor Program Twenty juniors will be selected to network during spring semester with a graduate in their field of study. Activities may include job shadowing, professional group meetings, introductions to other professionals in a career field, assistance with preparing resumes, and mock job interviews, as well as exposure to day-to-day operations and projects. Students will gain insight into their fields of study while networking, asking questions, and learning from those who were once in their shoes. Applications are due Friday, November 18. For more information, contact Sherri A. Miller, assistant director of Alumni and Volunteer Services, at 812/465-1215 or samiller3@usi.edu. |
