Bussing-Koch Foundation Inc. receives Outstanding Foundation Award

The Bussing-Koch Foundation Inc. received the Outstanding Foundation Award at the Association of Fundraising Professionals-Indiana Chapter (AFP-IC) 2011 Philanthropy Awards Dinner on Thursday in Indianapolis. The Evansville-based foundation was nominated by the University of Southern Indiana Foundation with support from the Girl Scouts of Southwest Indiana, Dunn Hospitality Group, and Indiana University's Center on Philanthropy.

Established in 1995, the Bussing-Koch Foundation funds vital organizations in all areas of philanthropy. At USI, students benefit daily from the generosity of the Bussing-Koch Foundation through its support to the Annual Fund, Student Development, scholarships, and academic programs. The Bussing-Koch Foundation Stock Market Laboratory, located in the Business and Engineering Center, features a stock ticker display and interactive teaching walls in and outside the lab that allow students to check stock exchanges in real time and in history.

Other organizations that benefit from Bussing-Koch Foundation support include the Evansville Area Fundraising Council, Catholic Diocese of Evansville, University of Evansville, Sycamore Land Trust, United Way of Southwestern Indiana, Evansville African American Museum, Youth Resources of Southwestern Indiana, and Habitat for Humanity.
