Pat Koch, director of values at Holiday World & Splashin' Safari, is this month's University of Southern Indiana Administrative Assistants and Associates (AAA) November guest speaker. Koch will present "Women of Wisdom" (WOW) from noon to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, November 30, in the University Center, rooms 2219 and 2220.

Koch will talk about leadership roles and her role in her family's business. Her dedication to Holiday World & Splashin' Safari has helped earn the family operation the titles of the World's Friendliest Park (1998-2011) and the World's Cleanest Park (2000-2011). Koch works with the park's 80 full-time and 2,300 seasonal employees to maintain the high standards of the family business.

In 2002, Koch received her master's degree in pastoral ministry from Loyola University. In 2006, she opened the Santa Claus Museum, dedicated to preserving the history of Santa Claus, Indiana, the post office, and honoring people who have helped contribute to the growth of the area. That year, she also co-authored a pictorial history book, called "Holiday World" in celebration of the park's 60th anniversary season. She is currently writing an autobiography.

This event is free and open to USI faculty, staff, and students. If you wish to eat from the nacho bar that will be available, the cost will be $9.

For more information, contact Terri Alvey, vice president of AAA, at 812/465-1131 or talvey@usi.edu.
