Present: Karen Anderson, Debbie Clark, Lurretta Daugherty, Yvonne Floyd,
Donna Hopf, Chris Jines Sheree Seib, Terri Schaefer, Jalane Weber, Darren
Shelton, Molly McConnell, Pam Van Vorst

Debbie Clark called the meeting to order at 2:05 p.m.
A motion to approve the minutes was given by Yvonne Floyd and 2nd by
Jalane Weber
COMMITTEE REPORTS:
Employee Relations Committee
Week of April 19-23 is Student Appreciation Week
April 16-17 is Spring Fest. Staff Council will be able to reserve food
coupons for employees. In addition to the free food, employees will
receive bracelets for free carnival rides for anyone. The committee
discussed the idea of getting door prizes from within the University
and not outside of the University.
Committee will call Don Fleming to discuss the Adopt-A-Spot project.
Economic Benefits
Committee discussed Debbie Clark presentation of the budget to the Administration
of the University. She did a wonderful job of preparing and explaining
the needs and expectations of the Staff.
Nominating
The Nominating Committee is still gearing up to find people interested
in serving on Staff Council. The committee is one person short with
the resignation of Sara Siminski.
NEW BUSINESS:
Resolution on the passing of retired University employee
James Douglas (nickname Champs).
Sara Siminski has resigned, due to her new position and additional responsibility.
Carol Diedrich has accepted the opportunity to serve on Staff Council.
Yvonne Floyd has agreed to participate on the Traffic Appeals Board.
Lurretta Daugherty asked if Economic Committee could check into short
term disability coverage for next year budget.
OLD BUSINESS:
Web page is updated with the current minutes.
DISCUSSION & ANNOUNCEMENT:
Human Resources has started Banner training for the new system and wanted
to get the word out on how important it is for payroll to be turned
in on time. Motion for the meeting to be adjourned was made by Darren
Shelton and 2nd by Terri Schaefer.
