Approved Minutes

Present: Mandi Fulton, Lois Stevens, Terri Schaefer, Molly McConnell, Don Broshears, Darren Shelton, Rose Scruggs, Sandi Migonis, Donna Hopf, Terry Martin, Mary Alice Weigand, David Huebner, and Becky Warford

Sandi Migonis called the meeting to order at 10:00 a.m.

Approval of Minutes

The minutes were approved with corrections.

Motion to approve by Terry Martin and seconded by Mandi Fulton.

Sandi M. asked for volunteers for the Recycling Committee.

Don B. explained the purpose of the Recycling Committee.

Sandi M. volunteered to serve on the Traffic Committee.

Sandi M. introduced and welcomed Darren Shelton to Staff Council as new Staff Council Member.

David Huebner said that our prospective member list has been expended. It may be necessary to solicit the staff for members as needed. David will create an email to solicit the staff to fill open positions.

Lois Stevens requested an updated term list.

Employee Relations Committee Report is attached. (Summary below)

Archibald’s Food Closet is short on canned meats, pastas, fruits, jello and pudding, macaroni and cheese and easy bake items. Items not needed at this time are ramen noodles/vegetables or soup.

Bible Study Group is meeting each Monday from 1-2 pm in UC205, all are welcome to participate.

The Giving Tree was a success this year. Suggestions for improvement were accepted for next year.

USI Employee Picnic: is scheduled for Thursday, May 29, 2003.

When the call for help comes, please volunteer, to assist in it’s success.

On Monday, January 13, 2003, the committee met to discuss a proposal for the budget hearing. They are now trying to collect information to include in the proposal.

Lois Stevens motioned to adjourn the meeting at 11:35 am. Don Broshears seconded the motion.
