Committee Reports
2) Nominating Committee Report
iii) Mandi Fulton said that the election was a success with nine out of
eleven elected to the membership. It was decided to add the remaining two of
those on the ballot to complete the Staff Council membership.
3) Employee Relations Committee Report
iii) Lois Stevens also reported that the plans for the USI Employees
"Beach Party" looks like a good time for all. If it rains, all hands on deck
are needed to move the party to Carter Hall. Lois thanked everyone for
cooperating in the plans for the picnic; it will be a good time for all.
iv) The Bible Study group will be meeting again in September.
v) Lois Stevens also said that she has contacted HR about how to handle
the money that was discovered in a USI account for the Giving Tree Program.
It was suggested that it be placed in Staff Council name and not an
individual name. Molly McConnell responded that she will check on it.
vi) Molly McConnell also reported that Support Staff will be able to make
volunteer after tax contributions to the PERF account soon. There will be an
email announcement when it is available.
vii) Archibald’s closet will be sharing some of the excess can goods to
those who need it. More information will be available at the next meeting.
viii) Family Time with the Eagles and the Student Worker Week was again a
success.
4) Darren Shelton motioned to adjourn the meeting at 11:10 a.m. and Mandi
Fulton seconded the motion.
