Present: Julie Bordelon, Denise Bulger, Debbie Clark, Lurretta Daugherty,
Donna Hopf, Chris Jines, Terry Martin, Sheree Seib, Jalane Weber, Sara
Siminski, Darren Shelton, Pam Van Vorst, Molly McConnell, Melody Sponn

Debbie Clark called the meeting to order at 2:05 pm
A motion to approve the minutes was given by Melody Sponn and 2nd by
Terry Martin
COMMITTEE REPORTS:
Employee Relations Committee
Giving Tree was discussed and emails would be sent campus wide to inform
staff of locations of the trees and deadlines. Trees will go up the
Monday after Thanksgiving.
December 20 was announced as the basketball game for free tickets to
be given out to employees. Emails and announcements will be sent later.
Economic Benefits
The committee is working on a recommendation to be sent to administration
about snow days.
They are also looking into the possibility of ways to reward employees
for perfect attendance.
Budget proposal ideas: Pay increase, extra vacation days for employees
who have been here over 15 years and any items that previously have
been asked for and not received.
Nominating
Recommendation was given to accept 3 new members to Staff Council. Sheree
Seib, Beverly Thomas, Julie Bordelon
NEW BUSINESS:
We have been asked to appoint someone to represent Staff Council on
the Substance Abuse Committee.
New members have been assigned to the following committees. Bev Thomas
and Sheree Seib will be added to Employee Relations and Julie Bordelon
will serve on the Economic Benefits committee.
