ADDITIONAL
ORIENTATION ACTIVITIES
In addition to the
structured part of the program, there are several other activities
happening during orientation in which you can participate.
Guest
Orientation
Parents, guardians, and spouses are welcome to attend orientation to
learn more about the opportunities and resources available to the
student. Faculty members, staff, and student orientation staff will be
available to assist you and your family throughout the day. There will
be a special session for parents during the orientation
session. The orientation program involves several presentation, and
younger children will get bored. We do not provide daycare services or
activities for them, and therefore encourage you to have someone care
for them during your orientation session.
Financial
Assistance Counselors Available
Have questions about your scholarships, grants, loans, or other forms of
financial aid? We will have a presentation during the orientation
program to cover the basics. In addition, financial assistance
counselors will be available while you are on campus to answer your
specific questions. The Student Financial Assistance Office is located
on the first floor of the Orr Center, and they will be taking
appointments on a walk-in basis. There is no need to make an advance
appointment.
Information
Fair
The Orientation Information Fair provides students and guest to
gather information from several student organizations, university
departments, and local financial institutions. Make sure to stop by and
get information and your questions answered.
Tours
We will offer campus tours while you are here for
orientation. This is a great time to learn more about the University and
the various housing options available. Tour times and locations for tour
departures will be provided at orientation.
