Diversity is the differences and similarities among groups of people and individuals based on race, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, gender, language, abilities, religion, sexual orientation, and geographic region in which they live.

The University of Southern Indiana’s Multicultural Center, Old National Bank and the American Association of University Women are proud to announce the Sixth Annual Phenomenal Women of USI and the Community Recognition Ceremony.  Phenomenal Women, held during Women’s History Month at USI, honors and celebrates women from all walks of life who have made contributions to diversity in the USI and the Evansville communities.  Through the annual recognition of these contributions, the Phenomenal Women program hopes to inspire others to embrace and promote diversity within their own lives.

This year's Phenomenal Women of USI and Community Recognition Ceremony was held at 6:00 p.m. on March 20, 2008 in the University Center Carter Hall.  Phenomenal Women recognized eight women in five categories: Community-at-large, USI Undergraduate Student, USI Faculty, USI Administrative Staff, and USI Support Staff.    This website contains links to view the recognition categories, see the list of women nominated for awards, view current and past honorees, browse the event program, learn about the vendors and sponsors, and access the event nomination form.
