Phenomenal Women of USI and the Community

The University of Southern Indiana’s Multicultural Center, Old National Bank, and the American Association of University Women are proud to announce the Sixth Annual Phenomenal Women of USI and the Community Recognition Ceremony.  Phenomenal Women, the finale to Women’s History Month at USI, honors and celebrates women from all walks of life who have made contributions to diversity in the USI and the Evansville communities.  Through the annual recognition of these contributions, the Phenomenal Women program hopes to inspire others to embrace and promote diversity within their own lives. 

Nominations are now being accepted for this year’s Phenomenal Women of USI and Community Recognition Ceremony on March 20, 2008.  Phenomenal Women will recognize eight women in six categories: Community-at-large , USI Graduate Student, USI Undergraduate Student, USI Faculty, USI Administrative Staff, and USI Support Staff.   

To nominate a special woman in our community who has contributed to diversity and who deserves to be honored and celebrated, complete the nomination form and attach a one-page description of the nominee’s service.  Nominations may be submitted via e-mail to kkmcclella@usi.edu, via fax at 812/461-5287 or via mail to University of Southern Indiana, Multicultural Center, 8600 University Boulevard, Evansville, Indiana 47712.  Nominations must be received no later than February 1, 2008 

Student nominees must meet the following requirements:

·        Possess at least a 2.25 cumulative GPA.

·      Be currently enrolled as a USI student.

·        Serve as a role model for other USI students.

·        Be a champion for diversity. 

Community-at-large and USI employee nominees must meet the following requirements:

·        Show a demonstrated, profound impact on the lives of others in our community.

·        Serve as a role model for others in our community.

·        Be a champion for diversity.
