Jessica LingafelterI first became acquainted with the ladies of USI Photography Services the summer of 2008. I had come to the photography office for a BMD scholar picture that would appear with all the other headshots of USI’s top scholars in a full-page ad in the Evansville Courier and Press. As I was leaving, Barb Goodwin accosted me and asked me if I wanted a job. I was a little taken aback and told her I would think about it as she pressed an application into my hand.
A few weeks later, I found myself working for the same crazy ladies as a student worker! Although initially hired as a student worker, I was promised that I would need to utilize the good business skills I developed as a member of, and the state president of Business Professionals of America. I quickly found myself learning Photoshop tricks, designing posters and shooting photos.
I have not only learned fun new skills working here, but I also know I would never have developed these skills as a Pre-med student. I am confident that I definitely made a great choice in working for the Photography department. I am also confident in saying I still think the ladies who work here are crazy!
