Linda Bennett   cynthia brinker   annie krug   robert parrent   mark rozewski

Linda L. M. Bennett,  Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs since July 2003; Bachelor of Arts, 1974; Master of Arts, 1978; and Ph.D., 1981 in Political Science from the University of Cincinnati.  The provost and vice president for Academic Affairs is responsible for the general administration, organization, and development of the academic and instructional services of the University. Her office also is responsible for coordinating and supervising the administration of the Colleges of Business, Education and Human Services, Liberal Arts, Nursing and Health Professions, and Science and Engineering; Extended Services; University Division; Undergraduate Studies; Graduate Studies and Sponsored Research; Library; Institutional Research and Assessment; and Center for Teaching and Learning Excellence.

Cynthia S. Brinker, Vice President for Governmental Relations since 2002; on USI staff since 1979; Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, DePauw University, 1973.  The Office of Governmental Relations represents the interests of the University to elected officials and the legislature at the local, state, and federal levels.  It also is responsible for interacting with local, state, and federal agencies and offices concerning issues of importance to the University; provides leadership for the formulation and development of the University’s operating and capital biennial budget requests; and monitors legislation for potential impact on the University.  The University’s Human Resources Department reports to the vice president for Governmental Relations.

Annie M. Krug, Vice President for Advancement since 2007; Bachelor of Arts in Humanities, St. Mary-of-the-Woods College, 1985; Master of Arts in Teaching, Rockford College, 2006.  The vice president for Advancement is responsible for coordinating external relations, the University’s internal and external communication, and for supervising the departments of Alumni and Volunteer Services, Development, News and Information Services, Publishing Services, and Special Events and Scheduling Services.  As assistant secretary to the Board of Trustees, the vice president for Advancement serves as liaison to the Board.

Robert W. Parrent, Vice President for Student Affairs since 2002; Bachelor of Arts in History, Western Kentucky University, 1974; Master of Arts in College Student Personnel Administration, Western Kentucky University, 1976; Ed.D. in Higher Education Administration, Indiana University, 1987.  The vice president for Student Affairs is responsible for developing and implementing programs and functions which facilitate the academic and personal growth and development of students.  His office also is responsible for the administration of the offices of the Dean of Students; Registrar; Admission; Student Financial Assistance; Career Services and Placement; International Programs; Residence Life; and all areas of counseling, wellness, and student life.

Mark Rozewski, Vice President for Business Affairs since 2005; Bachelor of Arts in Urban Studies/Planning, Rutgers University, 1977; Master of City and Region Planning, Rutgers University, 1980.  The vice president for Business Affairs administers all business and financial affairs of the University, including budget control, financial accounting, computing services, purchasing, operation and maintenance of the physical plant, property/casualty and general insurance coverage, safety and security, bookstore, rental properties, and supervision of new construction on the campus.  As treasurer for the Board of Trustees, he is responsible for the receipt and custody of all University funds and payment of all claims against the University.
