Fix My Home!
|
First, is the issue an emergency? Can the maintenance related issue cause damage to either the facility or a person? If the answer is yes, call extension 1729 (Physical Plant/ Fix My Home) and report the information. If you are not able to make contact, call Housing and Residence Life at 468-2000. In the instance that you cannot contact either, call Security at 464-1845. If you are unsure if the situation is an emergency, contact your Resident Assistant and ask him/her to take a look at the issue. If you cannot make contact with the RA, when in doubt, call extension 1729. Better safe, than sorry. If you have decided the issue is not an emergency, consult the “Resident Facility Self Help Guide” first with any maintenance issues that are the responsibility of the resident. If you require maintenance that is outside the residents responsibility, the following options are available to you. IMPORTANT CHANGE: The Resident Facility Self Help Guide tells you to e-mail Fix My Home to submit work orders; instead you need to either call Fix My Home at x2176 or submit Work Order Request Form online. To follow up on any work orders, please give at least 48 hours for the issue to be addressed. Also, do not submit multiple work orders. Doing so can, set the process back even further due to confusion. After 48 hours, if the issue has not been resolved, please contact Housing and Residence Life at 468-2000 and ask to speak with Greg Wagoner or Laurie Berry. Below are step-by-step instructions for requesting a maintenance work order or modifying an existing request. Requests can be submitted by the following two options. Online
