Housing Options

The housing facilities at USI consist of two types of living arrangements:

Campus Apartments (pictured, right) are available for all students with the exception of students with families. Each apartment comes fully furnished and has a full-sized living room and kitchen. The campus apartments are located within walking distance of the academic buildings for an added degree of convenience.
Residence Halls are designed as suites that combine the benefits of traditional residence hall living with popular apartment-style housing and include two-bedrooms, two-baths for four students.
Food Services This department is responsible for various restaurants on campus as well as in the housing area.

If you live in an off-campus apartment many of these services require a deposit and the cost of some of these services fluctuate depending upon the seasons.

Additionally, on-campus housing offers the following services to our residents:

24-hour emergency maintenance
Programs and activities provided only to on-campus residents, such as the Residence Life intramural league, Student Housing Association Block Party, and Residence Life sponsored programs
In-housing services, including the Student Wellness office, the Center for Academic Skills in Housing, the Religious Life office and the Center for Judicial Affairs
Screaming Eagle TV, an on-campus movie channel playing first run blockbuster movies
Close proximity to campus
Shuttle bus service from the apartments and residence halls to main campus
On-site laundry facilities that use either coins or Eagle bucks on your Eagle Access card
Around the clock security that regularly patrols campus housing. These officers are also first responders in case of medical emergencies
Professional Residence Life staff available 24 hours a day/ 7 days a week
Resident Assistants that live on-site in order to serve as a resource for students, provide programs and activities, and assist during crisis situations.
