The Business Living-Learning Community (LLC) is a wing of the new Ruston freshmen residence hall specifically for freshmen business majors. New business students live together, take similar courses, and help each other make a better transition to University life. The Business LLC gives students a sense of belonging even before classes begin. These students are scheduled together into two University core courses along with a UNIV 101 seminar course to help first year students achieve success. The common interests and shared classes of this group provide constant study partners and a pool of shared resources when preparing for a presentation or an exam. The Resident Assistant (R.A.) who lives on the wing is an upperclassman majoring in business. The R.A. helps organize programs suited to the interests of the business LLC residents.

The LLC fosters an environment for achieving academic success, building relationships, and encouraging students to get involved with campus organizations and activities. Students who get connected and involved are more successful in their college careers. Throughout the year the LLC offers many opportunities for students to get involved and incentives to stay involved.

Students participating in the Business LLC will sign up for a cluster of classes both semesters during their freshman year. Students participating in the Business LLC will sign up with other program students in specific sections of these clusters.

Check the USI Undergraduate Course Bulletin for information on which courses are in the cluster of classes for the Business LLC.

Your program sponsor will provide more specific course details prior to your registration for Fall and Spring courses.
