Introduction

To be considered for membership in one of the Living Learning Communities, please complete the following application. Remember, membership in a Living Learning Community requires you to live in the residence halls for the entire 2012–2013 academic year; and participation in the Honors, Business, Nursing, STEM, Education, Social Work, Exploring Majors or Liberal Arts Communities requires participation in the Freshman Interest Group course and the block scheduled courses for both the Fall 2012 and Spring 2013 semesters. Acceptance to the floor will include the resident being placed in the required courses for the LLC in both the fall and spring semesters.

Mission Agreement:

The Living Learning Communities at the University of Southern Indiana were established as experiences that foster the intellectual, academic, and personal growth of their residents. Residents are expected to respect and learn from one another, and to participate in activities and events organized by the program and the community. In order to achieve this goal, if selected, I agree to be an active and contributing member of my Living Learning Community which includes being assigned to any required LLC courses. (Visit the Housing web site or read page 24 of the Bulletin for a detailed explanation.) I agree to uphold all policies and ideals of my specific Living Learning Community, and I agree to do all that I can to make the most of this experience. If I do not uphold the stipulations mentioned above, I understand that I will be removed from the LLC and required to move to a different location in the housing community as determined by Housing and Residence Life.
