Recreation, Fitness, and Wellness Center

The Recreation, Fitness, and Wellness Center, which was originally built in 2001, now offers almost 100,000 square feet of recreational space. The completion of the expansion project in 2009 has added more equipment, a Climbing Center and a place for students to relax and have fun.

The entire building was completed for $13.7 million.

The RFWC is located east of University Boulevard and across from the library.

The RFWC includes the following facilities:

Climbing CENTER

36' High & 26' perimeter tower
12' High & 26' wide bouldering area
Learning Experiences (USI PE Classes, RFW Workshops, Competitions)
Special Equipment (Manual and Automatic Belay, Chalk & Bag, Climbing Shoes, Ropes, Harnesses)

Cardio & Weight Machine Area

45 pieces of Cardio Equipment including: Treadmills, Elliptical Machines, Upright Bikes, Nu-Step)
15 pieces with PERSONAL Entertainment Monitors
12 Large Screen Plasma TVs
Stretching and Ab Area
Approximately 20 Strength Machines

Outdoor Adventure Checkout & Storage
