Incentive Programs - Fall 2007

Miler's Club

July 1, 2007 - June 30, 2008
 
 

This is a year-long program that encourages and rewards all types of physical activity.  Participants can sign up at the front desk and can log their activities in the RFC front desk computer.  They receive points for activities and prizes are awarded at 1000, 3000, and 5000 points.

     
RFC Orientations

January 14-26, 2008
 

 

This new service is designed to help new participants become comfortable and learn about the programs and services offered by the Recreation, Fitness, and Wellness Department.

     
RFC Fitness Consultations

July 1, 2007- June 30, 2008
 

 

A fitness consultant meets with clients individually to create a safe, effective exercise program based on the client's abilities and goals.  Clients may schedule as many as three appointments per week, none exceeding a one hour time limit.

     
USI on the Move

September 10-December 8, 2007
 

 

This is an online program that allows participants to track either daily steps or activity minutes.  Participants can sign up for the program at the RFC front desk.  They will complete the registration form and receive a pedometer as well as instructions on how to sign up online.

     
Weight Lifting Club

September 10-November 17, 2007
 

 

This incentive program is designed to motivate and encourage participants to include strength training in their workouts.  Participants can complete a different lift each week.  Those participants that complete at least 5 of the lifts will be awarded a t-shirt.  Participants that life the most in each weight class will receive a sweatshirt at the end of the program.

Weight Lifting Classes:

Middle:                121-141lbs.                          176-200 lbs.
Light Heavy:        141-160 lbs.                          201-225 lbs.

Massage Rewards

September 26, October 31, November 28
 

 

This program is designed to encourage participants to attend our group exercise classes.  Participants pick up a "Massage Rewards" card at the front desk or from a group exercise instructor.  Once the participant completes 10 group exercise classes, he/she is eligible to receive a free 10-minute chair massage.  Massage therapists will be on campus once each month.  Participants can sign up at the front desk of the RFC.

     
Nix the Fix Smoking Cessation Classes

October 2, 9, 16, 23 @ 5pm.
 

 

This four-week program is designed to give participants the tools to quit tobacco.  A variety of methods to help participants "Nix the Fix" will be taught.  Participants will receive a handbook and a quit pack.

     
RFW 4K Fun Run Training  (Race Link)

October 15-November 15, 2007
 
 

This program is designed to help  beginning runners train to complete the RFW 4K Fun Run.  Participants will be lead through training sessions two times each week.  The weekly training schedule will also be posted on the RFW website.  Participants can sign up at the RFC front desk.  Those who participate in the training, sign up for the run, and complete the run receive a free t-shirt.
