A fitness consultant meets with you to create an exercise program designed to help you meet realistic fitness and wellness goals.
Fitness Evaluations
Fitness evaluations include several tests such as heart rate, blood
pressure, height, weight, cardio-respiratory, strength, and flexibility
that will help you assess your current level of fitness and identify
training needs.
Note: A physician's signature is needed for those who have coronary heart disease (CHD) risk factors.
Exercise Prescription/Orientation
A fitness professional will help participants establish an exercise
prescription to follow throughout the year. In addition, participants
will be taught proper use of equipment through adjustment settings and
proper biomechanics of various exercises.
Personal Training
A certified personal trainer or fitness professional who is qualified
(150 hours established as a floor supervisor at the center and scheduled
to take a certification exam) is assigned to assess your current level
of conditioning, identify training needs, help set realistic goals, and
identify techniques for proper biomechanics. Sessions last no longer
than one hour and may not exceed three hours a week.
