Self Defense for Women
USI offers Self Defense for Women trainings to educate women about awareness, prevention, risk education, and avoidance.
Self Defense 101
Self Defense 101 is a brief 2-hour class that provides an introduction to safety and self defense. This class is a great introduction and can be scheduled for any interested group of women, including campus organizations and departments.
RAD
RAD is an 8-hour class, typically held over 4 sessions, that provides an in-depth knowledge of self-defense techniques. It uses a national curriculum and is designed to teach women basic self defense techniques and to improve coordination. Classes help develop self-confidence and discipline and increase physical and mental capabilities.
If you have questions about any self defense classes or to schedule one for a group, please contact the RFWC at 461-5268, or contact Christine Tolis Johnston.
