Programs
The RFW offers a number of different programs for anyone who wants to learn more about a specific area or improve his or her wellness. We partner with many different campus organizations to offer educational and fun programs.
Self-defense classes are based on the Rape Aggression Defense (RAD) program. Classes focus on how to increase personal safety and provide and in-depth approach to physical defense. Classes are 8 hours in length and are free. Also offered is a Self-Defense 101 class, which is a 2-hour introduction to self-defense concepts.
Are you concerned about a friend's drinking? e-chug is a free, online, and confidential personalized feedback tool for you to learn about your alcohol use and how to drink in a safer manner.
e-toke is a free, online, completely confidential survey about your marijuana use. You will get similar personalized feedback to e-chug, but about marijuana instead of alcohol.
The RFW offers help for anyone who wants to quit using tobacco. This is especially important as USI is a tobacco-free campus! Contact us to get started. See www.usi.edu/tobaccofree for more campus information.
The RFW offers support to anyone who wants to learn to eat healthier, especially in conjunction with a workout plan. We can work with you one-on-one to help you meet your goals. Learn about the MyPyramid program, portion size, and the best choices for eating on campus. Contact the RFW to get started.
All students who turn 21 while they are at USI receive a birthday card from us! These cards encourage students to celebrate safely and contain a wallet care with alcohol poisoning signs and symptoms. Check out the National BRAD Site.
