The RFW offers a number of different programs for anyone who wants to learn more about a specific area or improve his or her wellness. We partner with many different campus organizations to offer educational and fun programs.
Self Defense for Women
Self-defense classes are based on the Rape Aggression Defense (RAD) program. Classes focus on how to increase personal safety and provide and in-depth approach to physical defense. Classes are 8 hours in length and are free. Also offered is a Self-Defense 101 class, which is a 2-hour introduction to self-defense concepts. Self-defense classes are scheduled for USI students, faculty, and staff, or you can request a program for your campus group or organization.
Are you concerned about a friend's drinking? e-chug is a free, online, and confidential personalized feedback tool for you to learn about your alcohol use and how to drink in a safer manner.
e-toke is a free, online, completely confidential survey about your marijuana use. You will get similar personalized feedback to e-chug, but about marijuana instead of alcohol.
The RFW offers help for anyone who wants to quit using tobacco. This is especially important as USI is a tobacco-free campus! Contact us to get started. See Tobacco-Free USI for more campus information.
